Some of you wanted to be able to visit my sister’s Rosary site, so I am providing the link for you here and also in the Links section of my blog (to the right – under “Faith Builders”).
http://kakolika.wordpress.com/rosaries/

For the 6th and 8th graders who have not seen this yet, my younger sister Roselynn and my niece Leilani (who is now 8 years old) started making rosaries for fun. Roselynn has since made up her own designs and has given these rosaries as gifts to relatives and friends. Some people have wanted to order rosaries from her, so she is now beginning to sell custom-made rosaries for those who like her particular style. She and Leilani pray for each person as they make the rosary for him/her, and they truly do enjoy this new God-inspired ministry.
I ‘d like to offer Rosary-making as an elective in either 2nd or 3rd trimester for those of you who are interested in learning how to make rosaries for yourself or your friends and family. It’s a great way to spread devotion to Jesus through His mother Mary and to promote one of the most beautiful prayers we have in the Church!
For all Junior High students,
Don’t forget to do your weekly Gospel and REFLECT question in your Agenda Books! This week you are looking up the Gospel for Sunday, Sept. 7th. All entries will be due the following Tuesday in class.
This assignment is worth 5 points. You must have at least a one-sentence lesson for the Gospel and 3 sentences for the REFLECT question. Please make sure you complete this assignment every week! Even if it seems like a small task, the points do add up!
Remember, you can look up the Gospel in your Bibles or go to MyCatholic.com and find the monthly calendars through the Scripture links on the top left corner of the homepage.
The best way to get to know God is to read His Word. The best way to appreciate the Mass is to prepare for it by reflecting on the Gospel ahead of time and making the effort to be there! As the months go by, you’ll find that these little reflections will help you grow spiritually and draw you closer to Him through the lessons He teaches you!
Amen? AMEN!!! =)
